How to Clean a Greasy Stovetop?

Some people say that the kitchen is the dirtiest place in a house. Well, they may have the right to claim that, as in some houses this room is even dirtier than the toilet, but in my opinion this reputation of the kitchen is only because of the stove.

The stove is the appliance that we use for cooking the most. We boil, fry and sometimes even bake on it. All these activities include the use of different types of olive oil and other greases, which leave terrible marks on the stovetop.

People use different detergents to clean the baked-on grease from their stoves. These detergents are not some of the safest and cheapest ones. Professional house cleaning companies even recommend to avoid the use of such detergents, as they are toxic and very dangerous. Instead they suggest that you use natural products for cleaning. How can you remove baked-on grease from the stovetop with natural products?

Prepare a mixture of two cups baking soda and one cup vinegar. You should mix it well until it becomes as thick as paste. Spread the mixture on the stovetop and leave it for an hour. When you return, just wipe with a clean cloth or a sponge. There shouldn't be any signs of grease. If you have some more stubborn stains, though, you can add some salt to the mixture and its abrasive structure will remove them. Sounds easy, right?

Don't waste time and money on buying expensive store detergents. Follow the advice of professional house cleaning companies and clean with natural products, especially if you have to clean your stove. After all, this is where you cook your food.
