Tips on Carpet Stain Removal

Carpet stains are something you could not avoid. You will need to deal with them sooner or later. No matter how careful you are, some other member of the family can spill their coffee or wine. If you would like to clean the carpet efficiently, you'd better be familiar with some handy tips.

A very good carpet stain remover, appropriate for most stains, is foamy shaving cream. Cover the spot with it. Use a sponge to rub it well. Then, rinse with cool water. Leave your carpet to dry for a few hours and vacuum it. If the stain is stubborn, you may need a professional cleaning company.

If you are dealing with coffee or tea stains, first blot the spillage with paper towels. Apply some vinegar afterwards. If that is not enough for removing the stain, apply foamy shaving cream. Scrub gently with a sponge and rinse it off.

Removing blood stains requires using hydrogen peroxide. Put it on a cotton ball and apply it to the stain. Then, wipe with a paper towel.

Your pets also can cause some stains on your carpet. Apply some club soda and blot quickly with paper towels. Put some baking soda on the area, if you need to remove the odour. You will have to leave it on the carpet for 1-2 days and then vacuum it well.

Treating the stains on your carpet right after they occur is the key of successful removal.
