An oxygenated bleach, such as hydrogen peroxide or oxygenated bleach powder, creates oxygen bubbles when exposed to water. These bubbles loosen stains and lift them from the carpet. You can make your own economical, efficient stain remover by using a common 3-percent hydrogen peroxide.
